The Elk Grove Club is promoting the first Chess Park in Elk Grove, California.  The growing interest in Chess by members of the community leads the club to spearhead the drive for a Chess Park  consisting of Chess Benches on which parkgoers can play the game.  It allows chess to be played outside while promoting mental activity.  This fresh idea encourages mental exercise in a local park and showcases Elk Grove's commitment to diversity in people and places.

We will be gathering signatures of petition to be presented to the Elk Grove Community Services District.  If you would like express your support, please contact the EGCSD, click here.

Thank you.

Park Chess Tables Come Alive in Elk Grove's Madeira!

Our Elk Grove Club has not only grown in membership, it has also strengthened its ideas for, and influence in, the Elk Grove community.  For nearly
a year, our Club has featured a link to the Elk Grove Community Services District email so that Chess enthusiasts can voice their support for the construction of Chess benches in Elk Grove parks.  You can read about our drive for such construction in
this website.
Now we are pleased to inform everyone that the first group of Elk Grove park Chess tables (with cemented seating) are now erect in the city's new community called Madeira.  The Chess tables are located on Del Webb Boulevard.  So check them out and enjoy a nice game of Chess!!!
Remember to keep voicing your support for more Chess tables and benches to the Elk Grove Community Services District.

Thank you for your support.
